Professor Alan McKinnon recently gave a short presentation on the impact of Covid-19 to a web conference marking "European Supply Chain Day" and he has kindly provided a copy. The main areas looked at were resilience, where the vulnerability of supply chains to a pandemic was examined and asking if the pandemic would usher in a new era of supply chain resilience. The presentaton alos looked at employment, considering the importance of the workforce in the logistics supply chain and the impact on those employed, particuarly with an increase on on-line retailing. Finally, emissions were considered and the impact on carbon dioxide emissions. To see the presentation, click on the link below.
