Ken's business experience covers marketing within the transport, tour operating, and hospitality industries.
As Marketing Manager with Stirling District Tourism, he is involved in the management of The National Wallace Monument, and through Breakthrough Business Support Ken delivers advisory and support services to hospitality and leisure companies, working on client projects across Scotland.
Ken is a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Stirling, where he is involved in the development and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate modules in the Marketing and Retail division of the University's Management School.
Ken's involvement with the Institute dates back to 1975, when he joined the CIT whilst studying in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. On returning home to N. Ireland he spent 14 years with Ulsterbus Limited, and with Northern Ireland Railways, before joining Edinburgh-based Blue Chip Travel. Ken's experience of hospitality sales and marketing was subsequently gained with Radisson, Stakis, and Hilton.
In Scotland, Ken has been involved with the organisation of the Region's Annual Conference and Dinner.
