Douglas has extensive business experience, ranging from multi national start-up, right through to one of the largest global corporations as well as private and "not for profit" companies in Scotland.
He has extensive experience in Europe, Middle East, Americas and Asia, in manufacturing, distribution and logistics in a variety of management roles, including vendor selection, budgets, Health & Safety, transport and security.
Having been involved in the global electronics industry in UK and several European locations participating in several start ups and relocations notably with Compaq Computers (HP) and IBM.
Adaptable to changing environments and working with staff at all levels including contractors, consultants and suppliers. Currently working as Scottish National Officer for the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport.
With a background in Logistics and International Trade as well as manufacturing - Burroughs and Compaq- to analysis and customer focus with IBM and McPherson and immersed in various international cultures ranging from China to USA.
Having worked at most levels from the shop floor to the senior management team, Douglas can work flexibly with staff, consultants and agencies to work toward agreed goals and objectives.
