Topic & Speaker:Towards the Virtual Agency, FAMS 20 years on by Brian Masson Founder Multi Modal Transport Solutions Ltd.

It is 20 years ago that Brian Masson helped come up with the Virtual Agency Concept using Telematics to track vehicles so as to create Multi Modal Demand Responsive Networks. In 2019 the FAMS (Flexible Agency for Mobility Services) Business Model was highlighted at the G20 Summit in Tokyo as one of the most sustainable business models globally for aiding modal switch. Brian will report on the impact that the model has had in Europe and elsewhere and where he sees the mobility sector heading in the coming years based on his experience working with operators and authorities across the world.

The Scottish Region Committee would like to extend its congratulations to member Hugh Watson for over 60 years of membership. Hugh, now retired, currently resides in Excelsior, Minnesota.

The Scottish Region heard that Ian Findlay of Paths for All, who was wlll known to many members and who spoke to the Region at a meeting in Edibburgh in November 2010 has sadly passed away. The Committee extends it condolences to his family.
